EDP - Experimental Digital Photography

A day when I was feeling completely stuck and frustrated led me to doing something different.

After careful focus setting for the camera eyepiece, so it is parfocal with the main eyepieces, I got the following result with my Canon 400D.

Below is the first image I got through my microscope, a 10-40x stereo binocular microscope. It is a bit low contrast compared to the view through the microscope and not as sharp.
