EDP - Experimental Digital Photography

Below is the first image I got through my microscope, a 10-40x stereo binocular microscope.

It is a bit low contrast compared to the view through the microscope and not as sharp.

All digital cameras us sensors which are sensitive to infrared light. Most recent digitals incorporate an IR blocking filter just in front of the sensor that blocks a lot of this light. However, it does not block all. Thus all digital cameras are capable of shooting in IR, just the exposure times can be quite long. This can, in fact, be an advantage for some types of photography, giving a beautiful ‘otherworld’ look as plants move in the breeze and blur, for example.

There is a current need to provide artists with a resource organization that can provide accessible, accurate, and current information about available artist’s materials, their composition, appropriate uses, aging properties and safety in use.

The User Gallery issue is now fixed and all is working properly.

To upload pictures you must register to setup an account. Do this in the Gallery or Forum, not on the home page. Since the article part is, at present, for a limited number of authors the login systems are not linked, whereas the login systems for the Gallery and Forums are linked, so one register and one login works for both.

Coming out of a discussion on the dfa Yahoo list I put out a very rough list of features for what I saw as the ideal inkjet printer for digital artists. So I have decided to flesh that rough idea out here.
